Hela Canada was established in 1980 by Gewuerzwerk Hermann Laue, Germany. Our parent company is an international spice and ingredient manufacturer and supplier that has been serving the food industry since 1906.
Although technical expertise was available at the time of the Canadian company's inception, hand-operated blenders and a relatively small customer base were the core of the early Hela Canada.
However, it did not take long for our customers to realize our dedication and commitment. Hela Canada never looked back as, with each passing year, it moved ahead, capturing major accounts in the meat and poultry industries. Customer service has always been of the utmost importance and, with calculated risks, good leadership and dedicated staff, we were able to expand our operations. Today, Hela Canada is one of the most active subsidiaries in the Hela group of companies.
